HMNZS OTAGO
The Royal New Zealand Navy Ship, HMNZS Otago, has spent the last two months in the freezing cold of the Southern Ocean, where she monitored fishing.
The ship was deployed to the region in November 2013, as part of the New Zealand’s membership of the Convention for the Conservation of Antarctic Marine Living Resources.
The offshore patrol vessel returned to the base on Sunday.
HMNZS Otago is a Protector-class offshore patrol vessel in service with the Royal New Zealand Navy, which was launched in 2006 and commissioned into the fleet in 2010.
