Raytheon company has received a USD 42.58 million contract for the manufacture and delivery of AN/AQS-22 Airbone Low Frequency Sonar spares for the Royal Australian Navy.
The sonar is an undersea warfare sensor of the MH-60R helicopter, which enables the aircraft to accomplish the assigned undersea warfare missions like submarine detection, tracking, localization and classification.
In terms of safety, the sonar has 272kg and balances capability and weight while delivering highest degree of operational safety.
